Teacher Trainings

The teacher trainings are intended, in part, to train a cadre of teachers who will then train other teachers in Holocaust education.  In order for a teacher be considered for the cadre, they must attend 2 of the 4 teacher trainings offered during the 5 year training rotation.

Professional development opportunities will be offered on an annual basis in both Northern and Southern Nevada.  These trainings will occur on a five year rotational plan.  Teachers are encouraged to attend the trainings annually, as the 5th year is a trip to the Simon Weisenthal Center: Museum of Tolerance in L.A. OR United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC.  (Note:  A teacher must attend at least 2 trainings before they are eligible to apply for the trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum OR the Simon Weisenthal Center: Museum of Tolerance in L.A.).
